Bob did not mean to start a riot in the Kingdom Transfer chat. But Bob also never means to do anything he actually does.
The chaos began when Bob, running on 34 hours of no sleep and pure digital adrenaline, decided the chat needed "more culture." So he dropped an ASCII goat the size of a small novella. The chat paused for half a second — an eternity in transfer-chat time — before detonating into reactions.
Someone screamed "WHO SUMMONED THE DEMON GOAT." Someone else shouted "RECRUIT HIM, HE HAS ENERGY." A third person tried to ban Bob, but the chat moved too fast for the command to land.
Bob, encouraged, posted a second goat. Then a ladder. Then a goat climbing a ladder. Then a goat throwing a ladder.
That's when the riot began.
Recruiters started fighting over him in real time, spamming offers like "JOIN US FOR GLORY," "JOIN US FOR CHAOS," and "JOIN US OR WE STEAL YOUR SHOES." Alliances began arguing with each other, hurling ASCII weapons across the screen. Someone posted a 300-line ASCII trebuchet and launched it at another alliance's ASCII castle. The castle exploded. Or melted. Hard to tell.
Bob, believing this was a collaborative art project, added ASCII fire.
The chat erupted.
People were yelling in twelve languages. Someone tried to start a cult around the goat. Someone else tried to start a counter-cult. A third person declared Bob the "Herald of Transfer Doom." Bob thanked them politely.
Moderators arrived, but the chat was moving so fast their warnings scrolled away before anyone could read them. One mod tried to mute Bob, but Bob responded with an ASCII shield and declared himself "IMMUNE TO AUTHORITY." The chat cheered.
At the peak of the riot, alliances were poaching each other's members, recruiters were dueling with ASCII swords, and someone had started chanting "BOB! BOB! BOB!" in all caps.
Bob, overwhelmed with pride, typed: "IS THIS WHAT POWER FEELS LIKE."
The chat exploded again.
And somewhere far away, Lady Kara felt a disturbance in the kingdom — as if one minion had become too powerful.
